eCommerce Integration: A bridge between SAP Business One and your online shopping cart

eCommerce Integration: A bridge between SAP Business One and your online shopping cart

Consumerism in the modern age dictates that businesses need to have an eCommerce solution in place to stay competitive and satisfy the demands of customers. Although most businesses have been adept at implementing solutions, if they fail to integrate online stores with other business functions, such as accounting, inventory control and order fulfilment, challenges can arise.  Customer orders hitting back-office operations could trigger out-of-stocks or backlogs, whilst sales and marketing teams may not have access to real-time data regarding availability and pricing.

Fortunately, SAP Business One is extremely flexible and, with the help of TaskCentre, capable of integrating seamlessly with any eCommerce platform such as Bigcommerce, Magento or Shopify. The TaskCentre integration solutions for the various platforms help automate the flow of information between SAP Business One and any online activity. Without a solution in place, users would have to extract the data from the eCommerce platforms and rekey that information into SAP Business One, and vice versa. This takes time, is error prone and is an unnecessary cost.

Stock management and online payment

Clear visibility into stock levels across multiple sales channels is also essential for a business to succeed. There are numerous cloud-based stock management solutions available, dedicated to managing online market places, but this information needs to be integrated with SAP Business One. This is usually a manual, time-consuming task, and one that does not occur in real-time.

Payment data is another aspect that needs to be pushed into SAP Business One to help understand cash flow, failed payments and managing customer accounts. Again, there are dedicated payment providers that can assist with the collection of online payments on bespoke eCommerce sites, but, once more, this data often resides within that system and requires manual intervention to upload it to SAP Business One.

Reducing manual processes and delivering real-time data

TaskCentre for SAP Business One can provide the bridge between the various systems, utilising their APIs to integrate them and therefore allow the push and pull of data. By automating many of these processes it will eliminate the need for manual data entry and provide better, real-time data in SAP Business One, delivering greater insight into sales, distribution and customer service, as well as highlighting any issues that need to be addressed. Having this greater insight into data will allow the business to grow, lower overhead costs, as well as enhance customer satisfaction.
