UK Manufacturing Continues Increased Growth

Recent research has indicated that UK manufacturers are experiencing their biggest growth for 22 years, meeting strong demands and orders in May 2014, according to research firm Markit.

The Markit/CIPS UK Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) indicates that the manufacturing sector has grown every month since March 2013, with new orders increasing in the areas of consumer goods, equipment and machinery. In addition, it reported that new export orders rose for the 14th consecutive month in May with companies reporting improved demand from the US, Asia, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and New Zealand.

How do Manufacturers Ensure They Can Meet This Demand?

With this continued growth in the UK manufacturing sector, it’s the progressive companies adopting technology that allows real time decision making that are making the most of it. There are distinct business advantages to being in a position to streamline production and having access to powerful reporting tools that provide decision makers with full business insight.
